Shade & Shelter

Shade decides more about a patio than the furniture on it. A thirteen-foot cantilever umbrella clears a table entirely, so nobody sits with a pole between them. The Shintenchi carports span twelve by twenty feet and take a car or a boat; the sheds are the small end of the same idea, five by three feet against a fence.

Furniture that stands on the floor indoors belongs anchored to the wall, and a propane fire pit belongs at least ten feet from the house and out before you go in. Both instructions come from published federal guidance, both are printed with the date we read them on our updates page, and the sheet in the carton is the authority on the rest. That instruction is not ours alone: the source and its reading date are on our updates page.

The rest of outside

Everything here spends its life in weather: sun on the arms of a chair, rain on a canopy, a fire pit lit in October.
