Editorial Policy
This page sets out how the catalogue is written, so you can weigh what you read here against what you read elsewhere.
Where the figures come from
Seats, spans, heights, tier counts, drawer counts and BTU ratings are taken from our own product data rather than typed from memory. A card that cannot print at least two real figures does not go up.
What we will not print
A load rating or a weight capacity, because we do not hold one. A service life, because nobody honestly does. A claim that a piece cannot tip, cannot rust or is safe around a child unattended. And no timber species for anything that is engineered board or polyethylene.
We also do not publish a figure we cannot show you the source of. Where a safety statement rests on published federal guidance, the guidance is named on our updates page with the date we read it.
Photographs
Every frame is looked at beside the piece it claims to show, before it goes up. A picture that argues with its caption does not run, and a frame with a promotional banner printed into it does not run at all.
Customer words
Quotes are taken from published reviews of the piece shown beside them, trimmed for length and never for meaning.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, write to [email protected] with the page and the figure. We fix it and say what changed.
